“Live and let live” – to quote Goethe – is more relevant than ever. In a time when tolerance is preached and hatred is fuelled, Bolzer approaches this theme in her own pictorial language.
In a hymn for tolerance and life, the artist who is a member of the Kunsthaus Wien shows expressive superimposed images of photographed plants in urban scenarios that defy the desired norms. Plants bursting into growth stand out from the crowd stand in the focus, were aesthetically staged, dramatized and edited manually.
Another cycle deals with death and the transformation into new life. The circle is completed and there are many questions to be answered.
